About Stugtid

A marketplace for cabins and places to stay

Stugtid is a Swedish marketplace where private individuals and businesses rent out cabins, holiday homes, houses and apartments, and where guests rent them without paying a booking fee. The service is run by Nordkod Media AB (Reg. no. 559591-6759).

What we do

We connect guests and hosts

We don't own any cabins. We list them on the host's behalf and make sure the booking and the contact are safe for both sides.

Stugtid is run by Nordkod Media AB (Reg. no. 559591-6759). We list the cabins on the host's behalf, and the host is responsible for the cabin and the stay.

We build Stugtid to the WCAG 2.2 guidelines at level AA and the EU Accessibility Act. Here is what we have done, and what we know we need to improve.

What we have done

  • Clear textText has a contrast of at least 4.5:1 against the background, and colour never carries meaning on its own.
  • All the way with a keyboardSearch, the calendar, the filters, booking and your account work without a mouse, with a visible marker of where you are.
  • Screen readersImages have alternative text, fields have labels, and prices and counts that change are read out.
  • Motion you can turn offWe follow your setting for reduced motion, and the film on the home page has a pause button.
  • Text you can enlargeThe pages work at 200 percent zoom and in narrow windows, without scrolling sideways.

Not finished yet

  • The map in search is hard to use with a screen reader. That is why every cabin on the map is also in the list next to it.
  • Some of the hosts' pages have not yet been given the new design and may have weaker contrast. We are rebuilding them now.
